Tasting Notes
This wine is why Riesling is often classified as an aromatic white. The wine exhibits bright, citrus aromas of lime, wet stone, cucumber, and petrol. On the palate, taste flavors of crisp green apple, pear, bright minerality, and a pleasant tartness with a long, floral finish and hints of white tea.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand harvested and whole cluster pressed, and the juice settled overnight. Then, the juice was racked to a stainless tank to undergo a cool fermentation. When fermentation was complete, the wine was racked off the lees and aged until bottling the following spring.
Food Pairing Notes
Serve this bright, citrusy Riesling with dishes that have lime, jalapeño, or tomatillo. The vibrant acidity and minerality can also be terrific with almost any type of Asian cuisine, or Southwestern dishes, like chicken enchiladas.
